From signal to public view.
Pulse is designed to make uncertainty useful. The prototype uses fictional data; a future deployment would keep the path from sensor observation to public view carefully bounded.
Sensor observation
A future sensor concept would observe aggregate thermal movement around a room, not identify people or record a visual stream.
Aggregate privacy boundary
The signal is reduced to an aggregate observation before it moves toward an estimate. No facial recognition, audio recording, speech analysis, or personal identifier is part of this prototype.
Versioned estimate
A versioned estimate keeps the range, crowd state, trend, freshness, confidence, and timestamp together so a single number is never treated as a promise of truth.
Honest public view
The public view explains what an estimate means, how fresh it is, and when it is unavailable. Public maps show fictional venue coordinates and never reveal physical sensor placement.
Privacy commitments
